Charlie Puth Pays Tribute to Chris Cornell During Jingle Ball Performance

Charlie Puth

Things came full circle for Charlie Puth during Z100's Jingle Ball at New York City's iconic Madison Square Garden. Z100 New York happens to the New Jersey native's hometown radio station, and the station he first heard his song play on the radio for the first time.

During Jingle Ball, Charlie performed a few of his hits including "Attention" and "How Long," but closed the show with the sentimental song that put him on the road to super stardom, "See You Again."

Telling the crowd how "surreal" it was for him to be performing at Z100's Jingle Ball, Charlie also revealed that the first time he heard "See You Again" was on Z100. Following his throwback story, the 26-year-old singer/songwriter sat down at the piano to sing his multi-platinum hit, and dedicated it to the late Chris Cornell.

When the news of Cornell's death hit earlier this year in May, Charlie took to Twitter to say, "I am devastated by the passing of Chris Cornell. His soul will live on forever."
