BTS Performs 'BE' Songs and Coldplay's "Fix You" On 'MTV Unplugged'

BTS continued their worldwide domination when the septet invaded MTV Plugged.

On Tuesday (February 23), the K-pop act’s pre-taped installment of the long-running franchise aired and saw RM, Jin, Suga, J-Hope, Jimin, V and Jungkook perform songs from their latest album, BE, switching between various sets and ensembles. Filmed in South Korea, the 30-minute special saw the group churn out the first-time performance of "Telepathy," as well as softer versions of cuts “Blue & Grey," "Dynamite," "Life Goes On" and even a surprise cover of Coldplay's 2005 smash, "Fix You."

"We're in a situation where we can’t meet our fans around the world in person due to COVID-19, so the song’s lyrics describes our current situation of temporarily being apart from each other," Suga said during the special of "Telepathy." "I had to work on our album BE, and while I was listening to some older demos I came across this and thought, 'This could be good!' I finished writing the lyrics on the spot, turned it in, and it made it to the album."

BTS join a legendary roster of artists to take their music to the franchise. Among their predecessors include Mariah Carey, Lauryn Hill, JAY-Z, Maxwell and, of course, Nirvana. Scroll on below to watch performances from BTS’ installment of MTV Unplugged.
