BTS Reveals How "Make It Right" Reboot with Lauv Came Together

BTS has breathed some new life into their Ed Sheeran-penned Map of the Soul: Persona song "Make It Right" with the help of singer songwriter Lauv. The K-Pop group shared a new version of the song with Lauv's verse making even better than before.

Speaking exclusively to iHeartRadio, the guys said of the "Make It Right" reboot, and how they connected with Lauv, "Lauv was, like one of the best ones. We just wanted to collaborate. Like, he was up top there for our collaborating wishlist. And, when we were touring [in the] U.K, we had [a] Wembley Stadium show, and he said he wanted to come there, and we just met each other. And we were saying like, 'Let's work and let's collaborate,' and it just happened really naturally."

"Make It Right" originally appeared on BTS's Map of the Soul: Persona album, and is co-written by Ed Sheeran. The guys also explained how that collaboration came together:

"It happened really suddenly. We were, of course, fans of Ed Sheeran, and who else is not? He suddenly had, like, a little shout out last year for our new album. I mean, he said, 'Congratulations on your recent success for the new album and the album was amazing.' And, you know, we were talking, like, 'Ed just had a shout out for our new album!' And, you know, we now respect him even more than that. But, he was like the Santa Claus, like, he sent us the e-mail with the track and that was 'Make It Right.' He wrote the lyrics and the hook, and we have our friend, Lauv, like next to it. So, it's like dream, dream, dream, boom, boom, boom."

As 2019 comes to a close, the group explained that aside from the Grammys, one of their very favorite moments from this year has been their U.S. stadium tour. They said of the cross-country journey, "The tour itself was so amazing because it was our dream goal.We were saying this dream [since] 2017; dreams [of] having stadium tours in the U.S. So like, you know like you said we went to Rose Bowl, like, those are the legends, right? We met over 300,000 fans in the U.S and, you know, they cannot speak Korean and lots of members can speak English, but we just had this real big community through dance and music. That was the most amazing thing."

As for what fans can expect next, BTS is performing at KIIS FM's Jingle Ball in Los Angeles at The Forum on December 6th ... and they're already also working on their next album! The guys explain, "We're visiting L.A in December [for] Jingle Ball. We're so looking forward to it. And, yeah, that's the biggest event we have until 2019 ends. And, we're actually now in our studio. So, we're working for our next album."
